Catalogue note
Constructed from silver plate on copper, this substantial and highly decorated Regency period food warming dish comes in three parts; the bath to hold hot water, the food dish and the lid which has a detachable handle. It is very substantial and weighs 3.6kgs.
The silver plate is all present on the exterior so looks amazing in situ. There are some small losses where the copper shows on the inside of the cover and the bottom of the dish itself. For its age it is in good condition.
There is a coat of arms engraved onto the front.
