Catalogue note
A continental hand painted and ivory late 18th Century fan which has been later framed
I purchased this from the diseased estate of a gentleman who had spent a lifetime collecting Florentine antiques, and this piece does have an Italianate look.
The fan is not perfect with some gilding discoloured and a small tear on one of the folds. However, overall it is pleasing and very decorative.
