A carved wooden figure of a seated deity which is probably the Kwan-Yin Budha.
Seated in a meditative pose holding a scroll, with beautifully executed polychrome and gilt ornamentation.
There is a six figure mark to the rear (see photos).
Raised on a plinth base carved with clouds, this statue is early 19th century but could be older. It is very detailed and atmospheric.
