A copper tray with a good patina with the initials S.W.R. which stand for South Western Railway and the number 1 which implies first class.
This tray would have been used late 19th and early 20th Century in one of the dining cars. The tray has a couple of dents as you might expect from being well used. The width measurement below does not include the handles. That measurement would be 41cm
